Employee Survey

A recap of survey results and the strategic priorities for the next year are offered here
for all employees and prospective employees to see how we are doing and where we are headed.

  • Each year, we survey our employees and used their responses, as well as other data, to inform our decision making for the next year. They inform our Training & Development Initiatives, our Annual Alignment Meetings (we don’t really do performance evaluations), and our Strategic Priorities.

We want to make our workplace the best we possibly can for our employees. We gauge how well we’re doing based on employee responses.

  • This past year, our greatest strengths were in communication, trust, and respect. Our employees reported they felt that they could trust their peers and supervisors, that communication throughout the company was effective and helpful, and that they were respected and valued in the workplace.

  • Here at Keystone, we want to make the best possible environment we can for our employees. Our data showed that we need to improve our Training & Development programs – specifically, our day-to-day performance feedback, as well as our Recruiting efforts.

One of our three Strategic Priorities for 2023 are comes directly from these survey results: Focus on Field Training. Product experts will be coming to Keystone to help our workers deepen their knowledge and we will implement a regular monthly feedback check-in for employees to discuss with their supervisors.

Q&A — Why We Love It Here!

What are the biggest changes you have seen in your time at Keystone?

“In my seven years at Keystone the biggest change has been to our overall camaraderie. We have learned how to work with one another better to solve construction issues in a fast and productive way that allows everyone to feel proud of the end result. But also, our safety program has massively increased; we have more employees with OHSA 10 certifications than ever before and our field team is the best we’ve have ever had.  The great talent, terrific attitudes, and overall helpfulness – including the office staff - is huge, too.”

-Jeff Whitehead, Project Manager

What do you think makes Keystone special?

“What makes Keystone Glass special are the owners and employees.  Jason and Matt are the best employers in Omaha, which allows them to retain some of the best glazing talent throughout the surrounding area.  There are employees that have worked here since the beginning in 1984.  These employees are truly the best at what they do and they are passing their knowledge to the next generation of glazing leaders.  Because Matt and Jason recognize that talent, reward that talent, and are also the best at what they do, KGC is the best place to work.  We are a family who cares about everyone and everything that we do.”

-Jenn Benson, Project Management Assistant

What is the best part about working at Keystone?

The "work life balance" and "family culture" are the best things about Keystone. I really enjoy being a part of a company that makes me feel valuable.

 -Jim Edwards, Welder/Glazier

Keystone Glass has amazing ownership and the pieces are in place to help you succeed.

-Jack McInnis, Lead Glazier

How to you feel that Keystone has helped you grow?

I guess Keystone is help me grow by giving me the opportunity to work with so many different people  and to work on so many different things. That I have gained knowledge just by coming to work every day.
